This term we will not be giving out formal maths homework as our priority is reading and spelling, however it doesn't mean you can't help your child with their maths at home.

The best way to help your children with maths at home is by helping them with number facts. It is vital that the children know their number bonds to 10 (all the different ways to make 10 e.g 1 +9 = 10, 7 + 3 = 10). You can also support them by helping them counting up in 2s, 5s 10s and eventually 3s and also by helping them recognise coins. Here are some links to help support that.

It teaches children that as well as solving the question correctly they need to start working out the answers quicker. You can change the difficulty to suit your childs abilty.

This game will teach children how to order and sequence numbers. You can alter the difficulty by changing how great the numbers are in the game. Don't rush onto greater numbers straight away though as it is important that your child is fluent in smaller numbers first.

Hickory Dickory Clock is a game to play once your child is a bit more confident telling the time. They need to answer the questions before the mouse gets them.
Class clock is just an online clock to help support your child telling the time. You can view it to tell the actual time or you can use to put your times in yourself to help teach or quiz your child. There is also a button to have the digital clock up at the same time.
