Eloise Hollis

Chair of

Governing Body

Meera Bulsara

Headteacher

I have been the Headteacher at Church Hill Infant School since 2012, and have had the privilege to work alongside a passionate and committed   Local Governing Body. I advise and challenge  to ensure our vision, values and expectations meet the ever changing needs of a 21st century education.

Balinder Kazi

Vice

Chair

I became a parent governor at Church Hill Infants in February 2018, becoming a member of the Finance Committee before being elected as Vice-Chair in October 2018. My daughter attends the school which has allowed me to witness first-hand how the school is providing her with excellent foundations as an individual and academically.

As a governor, I hope to support the school in maintaining and developing this education for future generations of pupils.  As a deputy head teacher in a city primary school, I believe I can further support the school using my experience of working within the education sector.

Indy Lidder

Parent

Governor

It has been an amazing journey over the last 3 years as a parent Governor watching both the school develop and the children progress.  My role as a Governor involves me being part of the Standards committee where we look at Reading, Writing and Maths. This involves scrutiny of books, classroom walks, looking at progress and attainment, challenging the school and head when we feel something is not right. Another role I undertake is to monitor the school website.  I am proud to state both of my children studied here and have developed both academically and morally with good values which are very important. I think Church Hill Infant School has an amazing team of happy teachers who do their best in the interest of the pupils.  We also have a great Governor team who work well with the head and teachers that strive to make the school an even better place to be.

Governor

I have been a Community Governor of CHIS for three years, having spent 35 years in Primary Education. I have lived in the local area for many years and have seen the community grow and change. I have young grandchildren all attending the school and it is a delight to watch them thrive.

As a Governor I am part of a very strong and energetic team who contribute to the school's ethos and strategic direction . I am passionate that every child deserves the best educational experience and opportunities possible within a caring and safe environment.

I am Chair of the Standards Committee, and a member of the Finance and Staffing Committee. I frequently work with the Headteacher in the appointment of new staff . I am also part of the Headteacher's  Appraisal panel and the named  Special Education and Disability Governor.

It is a privilege to work with the staff and Governing Body.

Satyan Pancholi

Parent

Governor

I am the newly appointed parent governor. I am thrilled to be serving on the governing body. The school is moving forward in a very positive direction and the enthusiasm driving this can be seen and felt across the school amongst all members of staff. The children will always come first and foremost. I am on the health and safety committee and seek to ensure that all elements relating to this meet all necessary requirements to protect all children, staff and visitors to the school.

Helen Parker-Bates

Staff

Governor

I am Learning Support Assistant in Foundation Stage.  I have worked at Church Hill Infant School for three years.  Both my children have attended the school and have fond memories of their time here.  My specific remit on the governing body is Reading.  Through the standards committee I look at how reading is embedded across the school and work with the curriculum team to ensure that the standard of reading at our school continues to improve.
