Our Home Learning page is designed to support your child’s education during the period of school closure. Although it will not replace the learning which occurs on a daily basis at Church Hill Infant School, we hope that activities and resources shared with you will help to provide a level of consistency and an opportunity for your child to continue to learn, practice key skills and have fun whilst they are at home.
On Friday 20th March, each child will be sent home with a workbook (for them to complete their work in). Easter activity ideas for children to complete over the next two weeks will be available on year group tabs under the Home Learning section on our website.
After the Easter holidays we will be launching “Seesaw,” our virtual learning platform which will contain online links, planned activities and other fun challenges set by the class teachers.
Your child’s SEESAW login will be emailed to you in due course.
Over the period of closure, teachers will continue to work (*dependent on their own health and wellbeing) and will be available to provide feedback and answer pupil work related questions and queries. To contact your child’s teachers, please use the following email addresses. These emails will be live from Monday 23rd March.
FS@churchhillinfants.co.uk – Mrs Basigara, Mrs Corcoran, Miss Kirby & Miss Dolby
Year1@churchhillinfants.co.uk – Mrs Creighton, Mrs Purnell, Mrs Dickens & Miss Jeffrey
Year2@churchhillinfants.co.uk – Mrs Elliott, Mrs Lissaman, Mr Mayhew & Miss Jones
We would also like to support parents and carers to manage their child(ren)'s wellbeing over this period. Please do talk to your children about the current situation, as often not knowing can cause more anxiety. We have attached some relevant resources on this page to support parents with this.
We are aware that priorities will differ from family to family under these unprecedented times but we hope that you find our home learning activities supportive.
